Explore how probiotics May Support Immune Health
Every Year, Cold and Flu Season Effects Millions of Children World Wide

In Canada alone, influenza leads to over 12,000 hospitalizations and 3,500 deaths each year. Many children also experience gastrointestinal infections, such as rotavirus and norovirus, which can result in doctor visits, emergency room trips, or hospitalization. Recovering from these illnesses can take time and place additional stress on families, including missed school, care leave, and general discomfort.
While vaccines arean important tool, fewer than 1 in 3 school-aged children receive the flu vaccine. For the common cold, treatment options are limited, as many over-the-counter medications are not recommended or lack strong evidence of effectiveness. This leaves parents and healthcare providers seeking safe, evidence-based alternatives.
KGK Science is conducting a clinical study to investigate a natural probiotic strain, Bacillus coagulans SNZ 1969®, which help reduce the frequency, duration and severity of:
Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTI) example, Common cold with symptoms such as runny nose, congestion, sore throat, and cough
Gastrointestinal Tract Infections (GITIs)- with symptoms such as Upset stomach, diarrhea and related symptoms
